La legge del bavaglio

The sure path of Berlusconi towards dictatoship continues:

("The gag-law denies citizens the right to be informed")

"A first blank page, to show the readers and the country yesterday was inforced by law a violence against the democratic circuit through which the newspapers inform and citizens become aware, then judge and control. Violence consumed by the government, which, with a vote of confidence to avoid surprises, approved the law on wiretaps in the Senate, which is actually a law on freedom: the freedom to search for evidence of crimes under the procedures of all civilized countries - the state's duty to ensure the legality and justice - and the freedom of citizens to access information necessary to understand and to know, so to judge."
